2010 FILM FESTIVAL
New visions, directions for Topanga Film Festival 2010
What’s new | Not only have we expanded the festival by an additional day, we have added a competition of global proportion – Suitable for All Screens – that will challenge filmmakers and digital artists to create modular programming that can play on a theatrical screen in its long form and on smaller screens ranging from your mobile tele phone to computer and television screens.
Call for entries | A Call for Entries is imminent in the following categories: General (this includes short films under 20 minutes in length in any genre or format), the modular Suitable for All Screens competition (under 10 minutes per module) and Plan B environmental comm nity (no format restrictions).
Topanga Film Institute | We are also proud to announce the formation of the Topanga Film Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to usher a generation of filmmakers into a new era of global, transformat content creation by sharing human and intellectual resources through frequent salons, panels, seminars, screening, mentorship programs, networking opportunities culminating in the annual Topanga Film Festival held each August.
Plan B Environmental | As part of a communal documentary project in support of the Earth Policy Institute treatise, we are assembling a community of filmmakers and digital artists dedicated to expounding on Lester Brown’s vision as set forth in his Plan B 4.0.
