North Carolina author with strong Topanga connection comes on board as 2010 Topanga Film Festival sponsor

A second writer has come on board as a sponsor of the 2010 Topanga Film Festival with the hope that her work will be noticed by producers at the festival. Elaine Luddy Klonicki, a former columnist for The News & Observer, is a Raleigh, NC-based author of three nonfiction books including All on Account of You.

Her Topanga connection comes from an association as a contributor to a book entitled Goodnight John-Boy by Earl Hamner, written by creator of The Waltons, the ‘70s TV family drama starring Topanga’s Will Geer. Elaine said she uses her writing to inspire others to live a “joyful, purposeful, and inspired life.”

Published in 2008, All on Account of You is the fictional depiction of a real-life love story between the author’s parents during World War II. According to Earl Hamner, the book is “A rich documentation of a most romantic time. There is humor here, and fun, as well as an interesting insight to a remarkable historical period in our country.”

  1. “All On Account Of You” is an amazing story of love against all odds. I LOVED the book, and would love to see this story turned into a film. :)
